Lirac from Domaine Lafond |
|
The first vineyard were during the settlement of the Roman Empire. In the XVII and XVIII century, the royal power acknowledges some value of the Lirac’s vineyard.
In October 1947, l’INAO established officially the existence of Lirac’s wines : « rosé » in accordance with the local tradition, red and white in expectation of the evolution of the consumer’s taste.
According to the possibilities of the terroir, the wine grower choose the vine plant. The great variety of the terroir favours the exploitation of potential qualities of each plant. And it’s certainly what gives the complexity of LAFOND wines. For the wine grower, the choice of the characteristics, of the strength, of the concentration, and of the wine’s flavours which he wants to obtain, begins from this moment.t.
